Our story

On November 23, 2008, a group of adults met in a home for the purpose of praying and discussing the formation of a church plant on the Eastside of Louisville, KY.  This group gathered under the direction and leadership of Dan Dumas and Billy Harmon.  Over the next several months the group continued weekly meetings and developing a passion for the purpose of planting another healthy church in Louisville.  During this time, friendships were forged and a strong desire to start a simple, deep and missional expression of the local church became the framework of what we now call Eastside Community Church.

Eastside Community Church currently gathers each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at 11508 Main Street (Middletown) Louisville, Ky 40243.  We gather weekly to worship through the public reading of Scripture, prayer, music, and teaching.  In addition we offer gospel ministry for the whole family—by teaching the children and youth of Eastside foundational truths of the Christian faith. We trust that this simplicity and depth will produce a community of missional participants who find themselves elated with God’s great story of grace.
